Beginning of Summer
This weekend started off with a fair at Kenya's school where they did face painting and hair coloring and dunk the teacher in the dunk tank, afterwhich we had a movie night, I bought a movie projector and we put Scooby Doo on the side of the house and invited neighbors and cousins over for the show and treats. Today (Saturday) We went swimming and Hawke swam fromone end of the pool to the other by himself which is quite the milestone (No More safety vest)
The other day Theresa arraigned for a water baloon fight with the Grays, the kids had a lot of fun and I am still picking up water ballons from the yard.
The slip and slide was yet another event with the neighborhood kids, good times had by all, everyday when I come home there are kids everywhere it's like a mild version of Lord of the Flies
Just a cute picture of MOMO
Hawkes new webkin "Water Shark Eater" the whale, he came up with that name all by himself, so far it's been a fun summer.

Hawke's Photos
I thought I would go through some of Hawkes pictures since he as gotten his new camera at the end of April. The first set is Kenya and Cuddles doing what they always do.....Cuddle
We took the kids to Silverlake for a small hike but there is still quite a bit of snow up there, Hawke snapped some shots and they were pretty good so I posted a few for your enjoyment.
This is Jake running Hawke over with his bike :)

The Missing Link - Missing No More
"This is the first link to all humans," Hurum, of the Natural History Museum in Oslo, Norway, said in a statement. Ida represents "the closest thing we can get to a direct ancestor."
-Click the title for a link to The Link
This is very exciting and rewrites history books, It's so rare to find a complete fossil and in Ida's case, scientists were able to examine fossil evidence of fur and soft tissue and even picked through the remains of her last meal: fruits, seeds, and leaves. Stay tuned this could get very interesting. Yeah Science!!

First Field Trip
Kenya and her class went on a field trip (link provided in the title)
The kids saw a snake which as you can imagine is very exciting for 7 year olds, Theresa actually took a picture and didn't run for the hills :)
Red Butte Garden, a part of the University of Utah, is a non-profit organization located in Salt Lake City, Utah. With over 100 acres including display and natural gardens, walking paths and natural areas with hiking trails, Red Butte Garden is the largest botanical garden in the Intermountain West
This was the first time any of Mrs. Murphy's class had ever been on a field trip and boy were they excited, Theresa was a chaperone and they went to Liberty Park and Red Butte Gardens
Theresa knows these kids names I just call them Kenya's friends
This was also the first bus ride for any of the kids and I think that was as exciting as the actual trip, Theresa loves being a class mom and Kenya feels special having her along for the ride
Mrs.Murphy is a great teacher, firm but caring.
