Art
As most parents know artwork can become a quite a storage issue so we have taken to taking a picture of the art and storing it in a folder on my laptop. We have boxes and boxes of children art and it get's damaged and you can't look at it because of the effort to find and catelog it. So if your not doing it already I would recommend taking a photo and saving (and backing up) it on your computer.
Shoes
Rarely does Hawke ever put actual shoes on when I ask him to. He usually comes down wearing a pair of slippers. Most often I don't mind and let him do his thing, but yesterday he just didn't understand why I insisted he change his slippers into something he could actually walk in. He is so stinking funny!

Tarry & Kimberly
We have friends in from out of town this week
Tarry and Kimberly flew in Thursday for a mini vacation and we were able to hook up with Bret and Chey and go out for sushi.
Theresa and Kimberly had lots of fun comparing mommie notes
Tarry was all smiles for this one :)

Leilani's B-Day
Last night we celebrated Leilani's Birthday at her favorite restaurant
Cucina-Toscana Pricey, but well worth it and the best service anywhere I have ever been in SLC hands down. If you want a great date night with the freshest homemade food check it out, you won't be dissapointed. As usual we had a blast.

Epiphany (feeling), the sudden realization or comprehension of the essence or meaning of something
We went to the Deseret Industries (DI) today -Goodwill if you live in Texas. Kenya was looking around and said to Theresa "Mommie there's a lot of black people here" Theresa smiled and let her know they weren't black people they were hispanics. We didn't find anything that we wanted or needed but it was worth it to see what we weren't missing.

Paige and Joey Nadeau
Theresa's little brother got married yesterday and despite the cold front and rain everything went really well.
Theresa made the wedding cake which turned out fabulous
Theresa is the love of my life
Theresa and her mom hardly ever get any pictures together
These are a few of the grandkids (still missing about 6 of them)

Election Time
Election time has arrived and the "get out the vote" people are out in full force and I am commonly asked this time of year who I plan to vote for and the answer is "NO ONE", I am a Libertarian and would vote for Bob Barr if I thought my vote would count but because of the out dated electorial college system I plan on spending election day in my arm chair drinking a cocktail watching the returns on tv, you see like many other Rocky Mountain states, Utah is now solidly Republican. In fact, in 2004, Utah was the “reddest” state of all, with George W. Bush getting about three votes for every one for John Kerry so unless I plan on voting Republican my vote just doesn't count, not only does my vote not count but I am essentially signing up for jury duty by registering to vote.
The Electorial college has become tool to maintain a two party system, a popular vote would allow other parties to extend the conversation beyond abortion and illegal immigration and give this country the opportunity for real change.
The National Popular Vote people (http://www.nationalpopularvote.com/) are working very hard to reform this system and when they do I will be out there punching holes in some cardboard "making my voice heard" but until then or unless I move to a "swing state" you will not see me lining up for jury duty - Raphael
P.S. why not put people who appy for unemployment in the jury pool? they don't have a job so they have lots of free time to sit around and judge people plus they get paid $10 a day.
