The "N" word

When my mom was in high school it was segregated, The white kids would use books and equipment for about 5 years then send it over to the black schools. It's hard to believe that it wasn't that long ago One generation that blacks and whites could not go to school, eat or use the same bathrooms. One generation and so much has changed, instead of fighting just to get into school our kids are fighting the concept of learning. Slang and crime are considered cool, ghetto life is a badge of honor and people of color who seek education are traitors, uppity, Uncle Tom's so not saying the "N" word is alright by me.
